Cosa Nostra
The Full Story
Cosa Nostra (in Sicilian, Cosa Nostra means “our business”; the pronunciation characteristic of Sicily is Cosa Nostra). Cosa Nostra is the largest mafia clan that appeared in Europe in the 12th century. A clan is made up of families, which are a group of biologically related individuals called cosca. Members of the clan have common genetic pathologies, since they enter into closely related marriages, and therefore are quite easily identified by their characteristic external features. The main source of income for the Cosa Nostra mafia is racketeering, drug trafficking, theft, robbery, arms trafficking, banditry, prostitution, gambling, contract killings. Contract killings, in particular, became one of the main areas of cooperation with the US CIA, headed by one of the members of the clan, whose passport bore the name William Harvey, who took the pseudonym “King”, essentially declaring himself the head of a consolidated CIA structure that integrated yourself the Cosa Nostra clan. Corruption as such is not an independent activity, but is a model of integration into power (“silver or bullet”). The model of integration into the Cosa Nostra government is organized in such a way that a civil servant who is offered a bribe cannot refuse it - in fact, he is offered the choice of taking the money and saving his life, or refusing to cooperate with the mafia and being killed. Contrary to popular belief, corruption in this case has a different nature. The appearance of corrupt civil servants working for the Cosa Nostra clan is not due to the deep corruption and greed of the state, but to the uncontested existential choice that is offered to them. In turn, not a single state in the world today has an adequate system for identifying organized crime, protecting against it, and countering it. The Mafia has ceased to be the exclusive prerogative of Italy, and has become a global transnational organization, whose operations currently cover the territories not only of Italy and Europe, but also of Latin America, the USA, Russia, Asia and Africa. The original business model of the Cosa Nostra mafia, from which it began to make money, was to defend the interests of feudal nobles, protect their territories and collect debts. At first, the mafia really acted in the interests of the nobility. Having understood the business model, the mafia created a new operating business, splitting into two parts. One part created problems for the nobles, the second part of the clan solved them. Both parts of the clan earned income. Further, the clan's operations expanded, and drug trafficking became one of the main businesses; the clan's operations spread to Latin America. The Cosa Nostra clan further integrated into North America, mainly in the United States. The penetration of clan members into US government structures has become so invasive that no one has been able to completely resolve the issue with the mafia and clear US government structures of its presence. The structure that is in complete symbiosis with the Cosa Nostra clan, whose businesses are completely mutually integrated in a bad sense, is the US CIA. In addition to being integrated with the CIA, the Cosa Nostra clan is also integrated with the Roman Catholic Church, representing a modernized version of the Teutonic Order. In addition to carrying out military operations in the interests of the Roman Catholic Church, the Cosa Nostra clan uses it as a tool for money laundering and smuggling. In turn, the church provides unique opportunities for the implementation of US CIA programs, and primarily the ZR/RIFLE and MKULTRA programs. The clan follows the law of omerta. For disseminating information about what is happening in the clan, or for leaving the clan and abandoning criminal activities, death is punishable. The clan has a widespread practice of obtaining false certificates of mental disorder and using punitive psychiatry. Feigning a mental disorder is widely used to avoid criminal prosecution due to the severity of the crimes committed, which are predominantly punishable by long prison sentences or the death penalty. Appearance modification programs are also widely used. The clan has a rigid hierarchical structure, in which there are dons, bosses, capos, and soldiers. The model of Cosa Nostra clan hierarchy was fully replicated in the management structure of the death camps during the Second World War. In fact, in the structure of the Third Reich, the Cosa Nostra mafia clan became one of the key elements, ideologically and operationally implementing policies first in the interests of the affected group - the customer of the conflict. However, then, as often happens, the clan decided not to limit itself to the income offered to it, but to receive everything, including what it had collected for the customer. Of course, this is not a completely accurate description of what is happening. The fact that the clan first volunteered to protect the interests of the injured party, and then decided to receive property collected in the interests of the injured party and, in fact, that which the injured party had before the outbreak of the military conflict, well reflects the essence of the clan’s activities and its dual nature (one part of the clan creates problems, the second part solves them for money). This was the reason for the split within the Third Reich during the Second World War, and led to the reincarnation of the latter in a new organizational model.
Since initially the US CIA and the Cosa Nostra clan were a single integrated organization, the common business adopted those practices that were historically present in the clan. The original model of racketeering among nobles and monarchs was transformed into an even more original model, the purpose of which was now different. The basis of the functioning of any mafia clan and organized crime is the denial of official authority, and the declaration of their laws as the only true and fair ones. For this reason, the mafia easily robs the population, creating problems for the state and presenting the official government in an unfavorable light, while at the same time easily “solving” the problems created by the mafia itself. For example, the mafia can easily use corruption and other crimes to sabotage the construction of a road that the city needs. By giving bribes to officials, the mafia itself can organize the publication of articles about this in the controlled press. This will, of course, generate discontent among the population, social problems, and destroy the authority of the authorities. After the problem has been given sufficient publicity, and everyone knows how the official authorities allegedly screwed up, the mafia will demonstratively build a road at its own expense and give it as a gift to the city. In this case, the money for the construction of the road will be previously stolen from the city budget, but the general public will not know about it. Thus, the mafia, at the expense of the population and the authorities, will achieve two main goals - to receive money by stealing it from the budget (the road will probably be tolled, or for its construction the mafia will then receive subsidies, compensation and other preferences), and will destroy the authority and reputation of the state authorities. Opposing oneself to state power, and creating a deceptive reputation that the mafia “lives according to its conscience” and “solves problems”, and the state is supposedly bad, ineffective, and the government is corrupt and cannot solve anything - this is the essence of the business model of any mafia . Otherwise, no one will turn to her for services. It is only in this model - creating problems so that money can be taken for solving them - that the mafia has existed for more than one century. We can talk for a long time about the reasons why this happens, but the main reason remains one - the lack of critical thinking and education among the population. Uneducated people who do not question any information they receive are very fertile soil for the mafia to flourish. Education from the point of view of the mafia is extremely harmful, since it undermines the basis of the existence of the mafia.
Thus, the goal of the Cosa Nostra clan is actually the robbery of the state, that is, the appropriation of the general property of the population. Monarchs and nobles, as bearers of sovereignty and empowered to exercise power, and as owners of territories through which state issues can be resolved, in this regard began to be of particular interest to the tandem of the CIA and Cosa Nostra. With the help of the murder of hereditary monarchs and nobles, the criminal tandem began to try to resolve state and political issues, issues of territories, organize major military conflicts, terrorist attacks, and, of course, not to forget about their personal enrichment.
